As the days grow shorter and the air carries a crisp chill, we find ourselves on the cusp of a new season. I personally, love fall, but it can be hard to embrace the transition and get in the fall mood. I know that with the cool breeze, pumpkin and spice, and bonfires, also comes the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season. Sometimes, it can be hard to embrace fall, but if we ever make the transition and find our way, it makes for a great few months of family traditions, cherished moments, and just an overall fantastic holiday season. The key is to embrace the transition rather than fight it or try to prolong it (or in my case, procrastinate).
Fall preparation is essential for many areas of our lives; we have to prepare our homes for cold rainy months, winterize the pool, prepare a fall garden and prepare our flowerbeds for the winters months ahead. All of this seems like a chore, but when we truly embrace fall and soak up the seasonal joys that it provides, we can learn to enjoy it and cherish it more.
How Do You Get Yourself in the Fall Spirit?
So, with all that said, how do you get in the holiday spirit? How do you embrace fall? How do you prepare to get in the mood for fall? (Best of all, most these things are pretty self-indulging, so they are things you will enjoy!) Below are several ideas to help you get into the fall spirit and embrace the transition!

It’s funny–when I first read your question, I thought, “Well, I don’t do anything to get ready for fall,” but as I read your suggestions, I realized I absolutely do! I do 5 out of the 7 on your list. 🙂 I love the “comfort” things like sweaters and hot chocolate, etc., and I so love looking at the changing colors!
